Kick-off Workshop, 20-21 October 2019
Readjusting Research Design and Methodology
On 21-22 October 2019 a first Kick-off Meeting will take place at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development.
We have invited several professional researchers who are studying on both agrarian and rural transformation in order to share their insights. Besides exchange among members of related research projects, we hope the participants of the Kick-off Workshop will provide us with critical feedback or our research plans. Putting project plans under scrutiny to an array of experts, we intend to thoroughly discuss presentations of our case studies and the overall research design. This will help fine-tune research design and methodology.

Curriculum Vitae
Pengshan Pan is a PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. His fields are international political economy and development. His research focuses on international development and political economy, especially in Central and South Asia. In particular, he explores the interlinkages between foreign direct investment, nature and conflict. He is broadly interested in industrial policies in post-communist countries and China's footprint in Eurasia.
